The 2 Guides, Gio and Mauro, were amazing; and very helpful giving daily link of the path we would follow, and one led for the day, but when they had confidence we could navigate independently and were experienced hikers, let us proceed ahead. But the other guide was always meeting us for coffee breaks and lunch spread and mid-day snacks in the Sag-wagon...or there to help the less experience hikers (and surprisingly, there were some of these on the trip!). Beebe walked at a slower pace, so the extra cost to experience her knowledge contributions was wasted for me. The majority of the accomodations were wonderful. I wish we would have known about the paucity of the 1st night in the monastery, I would not have chosen to stay there an extra night. And I would have brought soap! I would have liked to have known that we did not need to stay the whole lunch time and start hiking earlier, as I would have liked to have arrived before 5:30, when dinner was served at 6 - 6:30....not enough time to test and clean up.
